The Center for Ministry Effectiveness and Educational Leadership at Baylor University and the Waco Regional Baptist Network are co-sponsoring WRBN’s annual Church Development Conference. The theme of the conference is Ministry Leadership.

In partnership with Realization Ministries, Centro Familiar Cristiano, the Door Fellowship, Nadine Johnson Elementary School, Promise Keepers of Austin, Hutto Baptist Church, Christian Motorcycle Association, KNLE Radio and Power FM Radio Stations.

There will be a Moonwalk for those 8yrs – 14yrs. Come out and start an Outreach for all youth.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Michael Lindsay, a professor at Rice, is a sociologist who specializes in issues surrounding leadership, religion and culture.

Jill believes that too many people have let life's hurts and responsibilities overwhelm their sense of fun, and she has written Born to Be Wild: Rediscover the Freedom of Fun to help them find it again.

Teresa is a dynamic and inspiring speaker and worship leader who has had a heartfelt love for music since she was a small child. She has served as church pianist, choir director and worship leader at Leesville Baptist Church, for the past 26 years.

This one-day seminar will be an opportunity to meet other Hispanic Pastors & Leaders in the area. Through corporate worship and times of instruction, we hope that community is discovered among pastors and leaders in our area.

Six of the top trainers from LIfeWay have been invited to help you with evangelism, discipleship, mentoring, college ministry and reaching people groups. This is an opportunity for you to be challenged in your ministry and growth.

Lunch will be provided for those who register and pay by Wednesday, August 13th. No child care will be provided.

Membership is open to any woman who is an active member of a Texas Baptist church. Rehearsals and concerts are held the third Saturday of each month September thru May.

The 2008 Gospel Fest is an outreach musical event that will have a wide variety of non-stop gospel singing ministries from around Texas. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the sights and sounds of LIVE GOSPEL music and entertainment.

The Georgetown Project will sponsor a community-wide fund-raising event by staging the BRETT FAMILY SINGERS from Branson, Missouri. The program will be wholesome family fun for all age groups.

Friendship International provides an opportunity for women from around the world to make friends, learn about each other’s culture, practice English, develop creative skills and have fun together. ALL international women are invited to attend whether new to the area or have lived here for years.

Each meeting begins with refreshments and socializing followed by a program. Programs include safety tips, cooking, children’s activities, music, arts, English Second Language Levels 1,2,3, quilting, scrap booking, needlework and much more.

The Georgetown Project is sponsoring this event in hopes to attract church youth leaders and other adults that seek to have positive influence on the youth of our community. This activity will be held at the First Baptist Church of Georgetown, 1333 West University Avenue, at 7:00PM.

The Austin Church Leaders Family Summit is a way for local church leaders, pastors and lay leaders, to share ideas among Central Texas Church Leaders that will make a positive impact on the Family by strengthening Marriages, Parenting Skills and Young Adult Spiritual Formation.

Pastors and lay leaders will share with each other in this “summit-based” format in which ideas are shared freely and offered in ways that are ready to implement. Roundtable discussion opportunities will be offered on-sit to allow for new ideas to be born and begun.

This retreat is for the mentally challenged 12 years of age or older, their parents and chaperones, and workers with the mentally challenged.
