Introduction
The Williamson
Baptist Association (WBA) is a voluntary, non-profit association of Baptist
churches in and around Williamson County, Texas. The WBA serves and assists
these churches in achieving their mission.
Member
Services
The WBA provides
the following benefits, resources and services to its members:
- Specialized Consultants - The WBA seeks to identify the needs
of each member church and respond in an intentional, effective way to
meet that need.
- Strategy Planning - The WBA has excellent leadership and
consulting resources available to help its member churches develop a
mission and strategy plan. This service is comprehensive and includes
ongoing consulting through plan implementation.
- Conflict Resolution - The WBA has staff skilled in the area
of conflict resolution that can help you resolve a conflict in a way
that pleases God.
- Leadership Training - The WBA provides a variety of leadership
training opportunities for you and the leaders of your church.
- Meeting Facilitation - The WBA building is available for
your church to conduct meetings. The WBA facility can accommodate up
to 50 people.
- Mentoring - The WBA staff Director is skilled and trained
as a mentor. He is are available to meet with you in a formal or informal
way to help you develop life and ministry goals.
- Retreats - The WBA facilitates marriage retreats for pastors
and church staff and their spouses. This is an excellent opportunity
for fellowship, learning and relaxation.
- Special Training Events - The WBA sponsors several training
events during the year. Recognized experts come here to train you to
do a more effective job.
- Church Staff Search Assistance - The WBA can help you find
a new pastor or staff member and counsel you through the process. The
WBA can also help pastors and staff members seek new ministry opportunities.

Mission
The Mission
of the Williamson Baptist Association is "Assisting Churches to Fulfill Their Mission".
The WBA purpose
drives the philosophy that the association exists for the local church.
We support the churches in their ministry to the community and world.
Our focus is providing the churches with the kind of support that increases
their effectiveness. We strive to address strategic challenges related
to fulfilling the commission Jesus Christ gave His church.

Vision
Williamson
Baptist Association will impact Williamson County and surrounding areas
for Christ by serving pastors, staff members, and church leaders who utilize
resources and opportunities provided by the association.
The ultimate result
of the work of the WBA will be a lasting impact for Christ on the
lives of individuals, families, and other institutions in our area. We
desire to provide services, resources, and opportunities to leaders of
our churches. We recognize a significant opportunity to have a positive
influence in our community through our support of WBA churches.

- Communication/Connecting- Leverage WBA’s adaptability and desire for excellence to effectively communicate, connect to and engage with more people through interactive internet based tools in order to build awareness of resources and opportunities available through WBA.
- Leadership Development- Use the WBA’s reputation for quality leadership training to identify and develop relationships with strategic partners to enhance and expand leadership development opportunities for churches and leaders.
- Financial Growth- Build upon the high trust level within WBA and its value of innovation to develop new strategies to increase income to more effectively serve our churches.
- Church Planting - Develop recruiting
system that connects high potential church planters to sponsoring churches.

The WBA is
committed to evaluating our effectiveness and efficiency through 24 specific
performance measures that track the implementation of our strategic plan

Staff
Travis Bundrick - Director
- Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to provide vision and strategy for the work of the WBA
- Train and develop church leaders through seminars, workshops and conferences
- Provide coaching and counsel to ministers and church planters
- Develop and identify solutions and resources for churches
- Develop relationships with strategic partners and churches
- Lead, participate and enlist others in fund raising strategies
- Manage the new work process
- Identify and recruit potential church planters and sponsor churches
- Direct and oversee the day to day operations of WBA
- Supervise the WBA staff as outlined in the employee manual
- Consult with churches is areas such as:
- Strategic planning
- Church ministry and programs
- Pastor Search Team training and assistance
- Conflict resolution, communication and crisis management

- Customized on-site training
Deborah Bowman - Operations Manager
- Develop relationships with church staff in support positions
- Manage facilities and properties
- Oversee and manage WBA budget, funds, resources and financial systems
- Oversee inventory control system
- Design, format and oversee WEB page
- Secure qualified professionals or volunteers to ensure effective operations in information technology, computers and other equipment
- Coordinate strategies connected to social media and marketing
- Coordinate the WBA calendar and training events
- Conduct research as requested
- Contact and coordinate logistics with all speakers and trainers to ensure a quality WBA event
- Design and Develop WBA promotional pieces
- Assist the Director as requested in areas such as: Development, Executive Leadership Team, Budget creation, etc.
- Church Consulting:
- Legal and financial issues
- Church budgeting
- Church taxes and payroll
- Church administration (Constitution/Bylaws/Policies/Procedures)
- Facilities management
- Church incorporation process
- Women’s ministry
Bonnie
Bailey - Part-time Communications Assistant
- Greet and offer hospitality to people as they enter and direct them appropriately according to their need
- Answer and direct all incoming calls
- Enter and maintain accurate membership data and records
- Proof and distribute WBA promotional pieces as requested
- Maintain WBA web site
- Compile WBA metrics and generate reports as requested
- Registrar for all WBA training events and conferences
- Print, compile and secure support material and supplies for training events
- Public Relations
- Clerk for Association Meetings

Executive Leadership Team (ELT)
The ELT partners with the Director to carry out the work of the Association to ensure its mission is fulfilled.
The ELT serves as the fiduciary of the Association as they work with the Director in such areas as strategy, policy making, fund raising and external relations.

History
In 1917 nineteen
churches came together to organize the WBA. In 1984 the WBA formally became
a non-profit corporation in the State of Texas. Over the past eighty-seven
years the WBA has partnered with member churches and other Baptist conventions
and organizations. However, in the last decade this system has undergone
major changes requiring the WBA to redefine and re-invent its identity,
strategy, and structure.

Baptist Association is a non-profit corporation incorporated under the
laws of the State of Texas.

Meetings
The WBA holds two
regular meetings annually to conduct the business of the association.
Each church elects
representatives who form the decision making body of the Association.
The meetings are held in May and November of each year. The Executive Leadership Team and WBA Staff determine the agenda for the meetings based on the
current needs and circumstances.
